Repair
What is your door doing?
Pick what you are seeing. Each one tells you which part is likely involved and whether the door is safe to use until a technician looks at it. Then call during business hours or send a service request.
Loud bang, and now the door won't lift
That is usually a broken spring. The springs do the lifting, so with one broken the door is extremely heavy.
Safety: Do not run the opener and do not try to lift the door. Keep people and cars clear of it.
Door is crooked or off its track
A roller has left the track or a cable has slipped off its drum, so one side is no longer supported.
Safety: Stop using the door. Do not stand or park under it.
Door starts down, then goes back up
The safety sensors near the floor may be blocked, dirty or bumped out of line, or the door is binding on the way down.
Safety: Check that nothing is in the doorway and the two sensors face each other. Do not disconnect the sensors.
Opener hums but the door stays put
The opener may be disconnected from the door, a gear may be worn, or a spring may have failed so the opener cannot lift the weight.
Safety: Do not keep pressing the button. Repeated tries can damage the opener.
Grinding, squealing or banging
Worn rollers, dry hinges, loose hardware or a door that is out of balance are the usual causes.
Daylight or a draft under the door
The bottom seal has hardened or torn, or the floor has settled. Cold, dust and pests come in through the gap.

What are your hours?
The showroom and office are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, and closed Saturday and Sunday. You can send a service or quote request at any time and the office sees it when it opens.
Do you repair garage doors or only sell them?
Both. D & D Overhead Door takes care of the issues a garage door may have, including broken springs, cables, rollers, tracks, panels, seals, sensors and openers, and also sells and installs new doors and openers.
Which garage door brands do you carry?
We are a master authorized dealer of Clopay, C.H.I. Overhead Doors, Wayne Dalton and Carriage House Door Company. For openers we carry LiftMaster, including myQ smartphone control and battery backup.
Do you work on commercial doors?
Yes. We install and service commercial sectional doors, full-view aluminum doors, and overhead and rolling steel doors for business owners and contractors.
How much does a new garage door cost?
It depends on the size, material, insulation, windows and hardware, so we do not publish prices. Call the showroom or send a quote request with your opening size and we will price your door.
