How getting married in Reno works
- Get your license. Both of you go to the Washoe County Marriage License Bureau, 1001 E. 9th Street, with photo ID. It is open 8 am to 8 pm every day, and there is no waiting period in Nevada.
- Choose your ceremony. Pick a Basic Ceremony by the number of people or a package with photos, video and flowers. Our staff walks you through the choices and the three chapels.
- Say "I do." A licensed officiant performs your ceremony, with music and a witness if you need one. You leave married.

What couples say
★★★★★Took a trip down from Portland, Oregon, to get married, and we had such a great experience! Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They made the whole experience wonderful. I highly recommend them!
★★★★★We showed up early and they took us right in as there was no one before us. Michelle took the time to explain all the options, show us the chapels and explain the whole process. Once everything was decided, we went into the chapel and John came in and started...
★★★★★Great experience. Friendly attentive staff. Our officiant was wonderful. Super cute and clean chapel. They have all the wedding amenities you could need. Very glad we picked this venue!

Questions before you come
Still have a question? Call (775) 337-1555 or toll-free (866) 337-1555. More answers are on the questions page.
Can we get married in Reno the same day?
Often, yes. Nevada has no waiting period and no blood test, and the county Marriage License Bureau is open 8 am to 8 pm every day. Get the license first, call us on the way, and we will tell you when a chapel and an officiant are free. A time is not held until we confirm it.
How much does a wedding at the chapel cost?
A Basic Ceremony is $125 for 2 to 10 people and rises with the guest count to $275 for 51 to 60 people. Packages with photos are $255, $355 and $455, and the Weekday Special is $295. Every price is on our pricing page. The county's license fee is separate.
Do we need a witness?
Nevada law requires at least one witness at the ceremony. A chapel ceremony includes a witness if you need one, so the two of you can come alone.
Do you perform ceremonies in Spanish?
Yes. Several of our officiants perform ceremonies in Spanish. There is no additional cost when one of them is on shift at your time. If not, we schedule one for an additional fee, so please contact us ahead.
How many guests fit?
The Studio Chapel holds up to 20 people, the Classic Chapel up to 35 and the Grand Chapel up to 60. Those numbers include the couple.
When are you open?
Sunday to Friday 9 am to 9 pm and Saturday 8:30 am to 9 pm, every day of the year including holidays. After 9 pm is by appointment only, and after-hours charges and a deposit may apply.
